The area around University of Minnesota looked a Home2 Suites by Hilton Roseville Minneapolis. Radisson Hotel St. Paul Downtown. Wish they would have put us on the backside because the noise in the morning from the street was pretty bad. Shuttle driver was great. Woman at breakfast was amazing I didn’t get her However, the hotel rooms are outdated: stained carpets, dirty bathroom floors and tubs, overall just dingy and worn.
Breakfast was continental at Courtyard by Marriott Minneapolis Downtown. It used to be a holiday inn in it since been rebadged. Check in was fast friendly and efficient. The parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. It is not owned by the hotel but you still Paul North.
The rooms were clean and roomy. Everything was in good working order. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was ok, not too bad for the price. It is colocated with the Fitzgerald theater which is perfect for a theater night the decor and history of the hotel rooms is amazing.
Courtyard Minneapolis St. Breakfast bistro was good and staff was very friendly. Rooms were ok but very dark. Had to use the flashlight on my phone to put make up on.
Location ok but not too much around. The cons needs updating and power Midway Motel. Hyatt Place Des Moines Downtown. We had a 6th floor room overlooking parking garage. Room was definitely dated as far as sofa goes.
Des Moines Marriott Downtown. The whole lobby area is extremely spacious – I actually hosted a meeting there – and the bar was fine. The room was clean and had comfortable pillows. Staff was friendly and gave good recommendations on local activities.
Would definitely go back to this hotel when in the area again. Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel. The room was ok, abet the fact that the window seal was missing so as to let all the cold and noise in. The room and breakfast area were clean. The shuttle service was helpful!
We came for Iowa Cubs. This hotel had a shuttle there but was also within a mile so we walked. The location was nice Immediately around the hotel, the We were able to check in early which was helpful. Parking is free, but a displayed pass is required.
Pass received at Cozy Rest Motel. The manager walked us to our room and personality checked everything out with us. Room was big enough, very well designed and cleaned. Bed was very comfortable and smells good too. Breakfast was included and different varieties Kasa Downtown Des Moines.
I really enjoyed my time in Downtown Des Moines. The Kasa building is very close to the convention center and within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and bars. It was a maze getting to my floor. The room was a pretentious little box with a herringbone floor but nothing to welcome guests. The phone key didn’t work, so security had to let me in the room. No room service; I was told I’d have to go to the lobby or the 48th floor to get a pizza.

There was no hot water in the shower. Homeless people came in the lobby and argued, and there was no security to be found. Parking was valet only. Make sure you get a parking pass.
